Where do you come from in Belgium and where are you living now?

 

I come from Liège, but I live in Brussels.

 

What do you really miss from Belgium when you travel?

 

I sometimes miss the kindness of the Belgians when I am abroad.

 

Your favourite place to relax?

 

I like to relax at home in my apartment located on Avenue Louise, facing the Abbaye de la Cambre.

 

Your favourite Belgian dish?

 

Without hesitation, meatballs with chips!

 

If you were a Belgian monument?

 

I would be the Atomium because it is magnificent, and it relates to a period in time that I really love.

 

What does make Belgium / Belgians special?

 

In spite of a long cultural history full of great designers, painters, artists, fashion designers and much more; in spite of wonderful cities and landscapes; in spite of all that and more, Belgians still look at the other countries and cultures and are very open to discovering new things. Many other European people, on the contrary, always try to display what their country has to offer and are less open to discovering what the others can bring them.

 

For you, the European Union is…

 

Politically, it’s an obvious necessity. For Brussels and Belgium, it represents an economic gift and the opportunity to draw upon our central location.
